今年5月31日に渋谷ヒカリエにて開催された、TEDxTokyo 2014に出演させていただきました。今年のTEDxTokyoのテーマ ”結 Connecting the Unconnected” をパフォーマンスのテーマとして、イベントの幕開けを飾る書道パフォーマンスを、新体操ダンサーグループ Sadalsuud と、ギタリスト虎岩正樹さん率いるTEDxTokyo 2014 House Bandとのコラボレーションで披露しました。パフォーマンスの模様はTEDxTokyoサイト上にてライブストリーミングされ、海外からも同時中継で見てくださったというメッセージを沢山頂きました。以下のYouTubeリンクからもパフォーマンスの映像を見ることが出来ます。興味のある方は、ぜひ！ 今回のこのパフォーマンスの全ての要素は、漢字の「結」という文字と、バラバラに点在していたものが一つに繋がってゆくイメージを表現しています。ダンサーの動きはリボンとともに宙に「結」の字を体で描き、音楽は「結」の字を書く筆の勢いやリズムを音で描き出します。書を表現素材とする私の、平面の芸術である書を、立体に起こし「体感」出来るものにするという試みです。 Inspired by the theme “結 Connecting the Unconnected” of TEDxTokyo 2014, every element in this performance is dedicated
去年の夏６月に、NYを拠点とするコンテンポラリーダンサー橋本有子と共に、ダンスと書のパフォーマンス『生生流転』ルーマニア公演へ行って参りました。音楽を作曲してくれたのは、サンフランシスコを拠点に活動するミュージシャン・メディアアーティストChristopher Willits氏。在ルーマニア日本国大使館主催で開催されたこの公演に加え、ブカレスト市内の５大学と日本人学校での講義＆ワークショップ指導も行ないました。そのレポートが、「書の研究」１２月号に掲載されましたので、ぜひ紹介させていただきたいと思います。 このワークショップやパフォーマンス公演からの写真も、後にアップします！
