東洋人の感性に古くから根付いている、万物は絶えず生じては変化し移り変わっていく「無常観」の考えを根底とした、「生生流転」。人間の生命の息吹を灯火にみたて、いのちが生まれてから死に至り、また再生に向かう途切れることのないこの流れをライブ書道と身体パフォーマンスで表現する。

パフォーマンスでは、書の素材となる和紙や布を、それぞれのテーマに合わせて衣装や舞台装置の一部として様々に変形させる。舞台上で、文字、身体、素材の三つの要素が多様に関わり合うことで、視覚的にテーマ又はストーリー展開を感じてもらうことを目指す。音楽は、ミュージシャン/ オーディオビジュアルアーティストChristopher Willits氏が手がける。

生生流転 -SHŌ JŌ RU TEN- is a conceptual live calligraphy performance in collaboration with a contemporary dancer, Yuko Hashimoto, and musician / visual artist Christopher Willits at Teatrul Odeon in Bucharest, Romania.
Rooted from the ancient Oriental concept "Mu-jo": "a sense of transience" that everything in this world is impermanent, transient and ephemeral. Having a lamplight symbolizing a breath of human life, and the cycle of life and death, artists aims to express this transitory flow through live calligraphy and physical movements, accompanied by ambient music that speaks to your subconscious.
